If you’re a fan of Zaxbys, we have some exciting news. The fast-casual chicken chain is rereleasing a beloved menu item we haven’t seen since last year.
Sure, Zaxby’s has given us plenty to love recently, like its Chicken Fingerz, Boneless Wings Zax Packz, and the Banana Pudding Jar Dessert that rivals Chick-fil-A’s—but one particular sandwich has been missing from the lineup. That is, until now.
Zaxbys Welcomes Back the Chicken Philly Sandwich
To help ring in a brand-new year, Zaxbys is bringing back its Chicken Philly Sandwich for a limited time starting in early January.
This isn’t your traditional Philly cheesesteak made with sliced sirloin, peppers, onions, and cheese. Zaxbys’ Chicken Philly Sandwich comes with your choice of either three hand-breaded, chopped Chicken Fingerz or a sliced, marinated grilled chicken fillet. The meat is then piled with melted white American cheese, sautéed peppers and onions, and drizzled with a creamy garlic aioli—all served on a toasted hoagie roll.
The Chicken Philly Sandwich is available on its own for $8.49, but you can also add crinkle fries and a small drink to make it a combo meal for $10.99.
This fan-favorite sandwich first debuted last year, but only for a limited time. It earned rave reviews, and fans were pretty sad to see it go. Fans took to social media to beg for its return, calling it “so good” and “fire.” One person pleaded for the chicken chain to “bring it back.”
Now, Philly fans are getting their wish when the Chicken Philly Sandwich makes another appearance on Zaxbys’ menu. Like last year, this menu item won’t stick around for long. It might be best to make your New Year’s resolution to get to your nearest Zaxbys location sooner rather than later.
