Coolers are a huge part of my life. I use them when traveling, tailgating, bringing drinks to friends’ houses — even in my own dining room when having parties. As a result, I’ve amassed many powerful coolers in my collection, and I’ve tested out even more. My all-time favorite to use for keeping beer, snacks, and bottled water cold anywhere outside of my apartment is the Yeti M30, an ultra-tough behemoth that keeps contents chilled for hours and still has frozen ice a long time after I’m done using it. I occasionally recommend the smaller version, the M15, to people who don’t need a full 28 liters of space (aka 42 cans or 32 pounds of ice). I was devastated to learn recently that Yeti is retiring the M15.
Fortunately for those who want this all-timer Yeti product, it’s still available — and it’s actually $60 off right now in quite a few popular colors.

The M15 is as perfect as they come. It has a huge interior with ColdCell insulation with a leakproof liner that can hold 32 cans, 15 pounds of ice, full wine bottles, or a combination of the above (and don’t forget about snacks!). Plus, it has an extremely tight seal due to ultra-powerful magnetic strips around the entire top of the cooler. The exterior is made from a durable proprietary shell that feels puncture-proof. One of my favorite features from this line of soft coolers is the extremely comfortable, double-stitched shoulder strap. I’ve filled my M30 to the brim with beer and ice, and the shoulder strap made it feel like I was carrying nothing more than my laptop and a water bottle. It’s an awesome feat of engineering.
Yeti fans came out in droves to leave reviews of the M15 on the website. One pointed out that they enjoy taking it to the beach, noting that it keeps a ton of food and drinks very cold. Many point out the vibrant color options — there are 11 on sale, including navy, charcoal, wild vine red, and the brand’s newest, ultramarine violet. People love this cooler for everything from day trips and camping to pool hangs and boat rides. And, many said that the magnetic seal was a huge upgrade from a previous version that used a zipper.
I’m not sure why Yeti is retiring this cooler, but I recommend grabbing one while it’s on sale. With people firing up their backyard grills, pool days coming soon, and baseball tailgating around the corner, you’ll surely have plenty of ways to use it.
