The Pokemon Trading Card game is gaining another expansion next month, with the arrival of Scarlet & Violet: Twilight Masquerade on May 24. It features over 160 new cards, including more than a dozen new Pokemon ex cards, new Ace Spec cards, over 30 new Trainer cards, and dozens of exclusive Pokemon and Trainer cards with special illustrations. Preorders are now open ahead of the expansion’s launch–though some products are already selling out, so move fast if you want to be among the first to pick up the newest Pokemon TCG cards.
While you’re preordering the new decks, be sure to take a look at Best Buy’s daily deal (April 18), which is slashing prices on a variety of other Pokemon TCG packs, giving you an affordable way to add to your collection. This includes the Lost Origin Elite Trainer Box for $30 (down from $40) and Charizard ex Premium Collection for $30 (down from $40).
$50
Naturally, Twilight Masquerade has an Elite Trainer Box. Along with nine Pokemon TCG: Scarlet and Violet Twilight Masquerade booster packs, you’ll also get the following:
- 1 full-art foil promo card (Teal Mask Ogerpon)
- 65 card sleeves
- 45 Pokemon TCG Energy cards
- Player’s guide to Twilight Masquerade expansion
- 6 damage-counter dice
- 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
- 2 plastic condition markers
- Collector’s box
- Code card for Pokemon TCG Live
$27
Want to stock up on Twilight Masquerade cards fast without dropping too much cash? Take a look at this six pack booster, which (no surprise) gets you six booster packs. It doesn’t come with any additional content, but if you already have everything you need to play the Pokemon TCG, this is a good way to get a sampling of the fresh expansion.
$14
The Pokemon Company is also releasing a $14 package containing three booster packs. In addition to the boosters, you’ll get a new Snorlax or Revavroom card.
$120
Want to really load up on new cards? Then this massive booster box is for you, as it comes with 36 booster packs. That should be more than enough packs for you to pull your favorite Pokemon and completely revamp your existing deck. Note that Best Buy ran out of stock on the morning of April 18, and third-party retailers on Amazon are already inflating its price tag. We’d expect a restock at Best Buy in the coming weeks.
$4.49
Pick up a single sleeved booster for $4.49 to add 10 new cards to your collection. Best Buy currently has this listed as “Coming Soon,” so check back often to catch it when it comes back in stock.
