Wendy’s Is Selling Burgers for $1 All Month Long

Estimated read time 3 min read

Believe it or not, fast food can sometimes get expensive—especially when you need to feed a group. While you can always whip up a copycat fried chicken sandwich that rivals Chick-fil-A or air-fry a bag of Great Value spicy chicken nuggets, sometimes hitting the drive-thru is the easiest option.

Luckily, fast food chains have been dropping meal deals, left and right, to make those spur-of-the-moment stops easier on our wallets. Shake Shack recently introduced its first-ever meal deal, while Dairy Queen added a $7 meal to menus and Pizza Hut launched a $25 Pizza Charcuterie bundle fit for a crowd.

Now, ahead of the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) annual basketball tournament, also known as March Madness, Wendy’s is offering an unbeatable deal on burgers. Whether you’re watching the tournament from the comfort of your home, or hitting the road to support your alma mater, you won’t want to miss out.

How to Get a $1 Burger from Wendy’s

To fuel fans through the ups and downs of March Madness, Wendy’s is offering deals on two of its popular menu items. From now until April 13, guests can snag a Wendy’s Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or a Double Stack for just $1.

The Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger features applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. The Double Stack doesn’t include bacon, but instead boasts two beef patties, American cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and onion.

There is one catch: This is an app-exclusive deal. We know, you already have too many apps on your phone. But if you frequent Wendy’s, or any other fast food chain for that matter, the free sign-up is worth getting access to all the money-saving perks. For this offer, you’ll also need to make an additional purchase, like an order of fries or a Thin Mints Frosty, to cash in on the deal.

More March Madness Deals at Wendy’s

In addition to Wendy’s burger deals, the chain has also teamed up with three major food delivery services to offer discounts during March Madness. GrubHub subscribers can get a free Baconator with the purchase of $20 or more. Uber Eats users can receive a buy-one-get-one Double Stack Biggie Bag, and those with DashPass can get a free Son of Baconator with an order of $20 or more.

Beyond Wendy’s, other fast food chains are getting in on the fun with deals of their own. KFC just launched the Dunk It Bucket Meal and Domino’s is giving away pizza for 50 percent off, so you’ll have plenty of tasty options to get you through the first few rounds of the tournament. And don’t forget dessert: Pillsbury Basketball Shape Sugar Cookies are on shelves now and make the perfect hassle-free sweet treat for game day.
