According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Walmart has recalled over 2,000 cases of Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth. The 48-ounce cartons have a packaging problem that could cause the product inside to spoil, making it unsafe to consume. To date, there have been no reports of illnesses related to the chicken broth.
The recalled broth was sold in 242 Walmart stores in the following nine states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
How to Identify the Recalled Great Value Chicken Broth
The recalled 48-ounce Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth carton packaging has a “best used by” date of March 25, 2026, and a UPC code of “007874206684.” The product is no longer on Walmart’s shelves but may still be in consumers’ pantries.
If you have the recalled chicken broth in your home, do not consume it. Discard it or return it to Walmart for a full refund.
