Walmart Just Added This Take-Out Dinner Favorite to Shelves

Brrr, it’s cold out there. The winter season is officially upon us, and we’re ready to indulge in comfort food to keep us warm. While we always appreciate a home-cooked meal that requires some effort, we really need a low-effort meal most nights. 

Walmart’s latest release gives us some serious cozy vibes without having to spend much time in the kitchen, making staying in and skipping takeout sound even more appealing this winter.  

Walmart Now Selling Maruchan GOLD Instant Ramen Noodles

Walmart now offers the Maruchan GOLD flavored noodle line, which offers restaurant-quality noodles without the price tag—all in one convenient shopping trip.

You may remember Maruchan from your college days, whipping up these inexpensive instant ramen noodles straight from the package in your dorm room. This current line is a bit of an upgrade—maybe a more mature version of the ramen we already know and love from this American noodle brand. 

The Maruchan Gold line has two flavors to choose from: Soy Sauce, which is a bit more savory, and Spicy Miso, which offers a kick. Each flavor comes with noodles and a packet of premium seasoning.

The Maruchan Gold line first came about in Japan in 2013 after perfecting air-dried noodles, so it’s as good as what you’d enjoy while dining out. In 2019, it was brought to the American market where you could find it at grocery stores like Albertsons and Hy-Vee. Fast forward to 2025, and now the noodle line is available in 1,500 Walmart stores throughout the country.

“By bringing Maruchan Gold to Walmart, we’re working to make restaurant-quality, instant noodles accessible to everyone—whether you’re a college student, a busy professional, or a ramen connoisseur looking for a quick, delicious meal,” Katelyn Stokes, marketing director at Maruchan said in a recent press release.

Gold Soy Sauce and Gold Spicy Miso-flavored noodles are now available at Walmart stores nationwide for less than $2 per package. Nothing is more comforting during winter than staying indoors and enjoying a hot bowl of soup, especially when you don’t have to pay a lot to do it. We’re ready to stock up and settle in.
