Velveeta Just Launched a New Product We Didn’t See Coming

Estimated read time 2 min read

We already know Velveeta cheese for its creamy, golden goodness smothering our shell-shaped pasta (and now even in football shapes), and for adding a little something extra to an array of dishes, from broccoli soup to baked pasta.

We love an easy, cheesy weeknight meal that includes Velveeta at home. But now there’s a way to take the comfort food on the road—and into your favorite restaurant.

Velveeta Launches Vel2Go Single-Serve Cheese Packets

Enter 2025, when Velveeta can now travel with you. The brand has launched Vel2Go, a never-before-seen Walmart-exclusive product.

The single-serve packets of Velveeta can be tucked away in a purse or pocket and taken with you whenever you need a gooey, cheesy fix. Just pull out a packet when you crave just a little more on that drive-thru burger or want to load your waffle fries with a whole lotta cheese.

It makes sense for Velveeta to get in on the portable condiment game: After all, the brand’s parent company is Kraft Heinz, which is, of course, behind those single-serve ketchup packets we use for dipping our fries, burgers, chicken nuggets, and more.

“Our fans know Velveeta is more than just cheese—it’s a lifestyle of indulgence, a celebration of outrageous pleasure, and a siren’s call for others to go all in on the things they love,” said Stephanie Vance, brand manager for Velveeta, in a company press release. “We created Vel2Go as a portable offering that’s more than just a condiment—it’s the ultimate wingman that unleashes craveability and big mood food in ways other condiments can’t.”

Vel2Go follows the launch of Velveeta’s ready-to-eat queso in a jar, which began lining grocery shelves last spring. The jarred product was created as a result of the fan-favorite Velveeta cheese and Ro-Tel dip.

Starting Jan. 22, you can pick up Vel2Go at Walmart for under $6 for three cartons of four packets. However, like many good things, you can only score these portable packets while supplies last. We’ll be stocking up while we can—and using them every which way.
