Xbox releases numerous Special Edition controllers each year, but few are as cool as the new Cipher series. The first controller in the new line of transparent controllers released in August. Dubbed Sky Cipher, the recently released controller has received its first discount at Amazon and Walmart, dropping the price from $70 to $60. This deal will probably sell out, so we’d recommend snagging it while you can.
It’s worth noting that the Ghost Cipher Special Edition, the second controller in the series, launches October 8. You can preorder the clear Ghost Cipher Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller for $64 at Walmart and $70 at Amazon.
$60 (was $70)
With a blue transparent top case, rubberized grips, and metallic sky blue accents, this is one of the coolest controller designs for Xbox Series X|S. Of course, it’ll also work on PC and mobile, and features all the usual tech from Xbox Wireless Controllers. This includes a share button, a pairing button to quickly switch devices, and a 3.5mm stereo headset jack.
Keep in mind that this controller uses AA batteries instead of a rechargeable battery pack, though you’ll get up to 40 hours of playtime before needing to replace them. If you want a rechargeable controller, there are plenty of battery packs you can purchase separately, including this officially licensed charge kit.
While there’s no doubt the Cipher series offers two of the most eye-catching designs, there are plenty of other Xbox Wireless Controller colors, and you can save big on a bunch of them at Amazon and Walmart.
