Remember when fridgescaping was trending? For those unfamiliar with the viral trend, fridgescaping is a method of organizing your fridge so that the items aren’t just accessible, but also arranged in a way that makes the interior look like a professional decorator got a hold of it. It is both functional and stylish, though, if I’m being honest, it’s probably not the most practical way to store groceries.
Dollar Tree has been crushing it with great storage deals lately, and its latest storage deal is sure to bring tons of joy to those who fridgescape. But those who just put their food in the fridge willy-nilly will still find this deal practical, especially if you have a lot of mason jars floating around without lids.
Dollar Tree’s Deal on Wooden Ball Mason Jar Lids
Mason jars are great for food storage in the pantry and in the refrigerator. They’re transparent, durable, reusable, and inexpensive. The traditional lids for mason jars, while very effective, are not particularly attractive and are prone to rusting if tossed in the dishwasher.
Enter Ball’s wooden lids for mason jars. On Amazon, a 5-pack of these lids cost $22.99. Instagrammer @leighshome05 found the same 5-pack on sale at a Dollar Tree in York, Pennsylvania for just $1.25. Talk about an outrageous deal.
“These lids come in a variety of wood tones!” the caption said. Made of acacia wood, the lids have an airtight silicone seal so they can be used to store dry goods in the pantry. They fit regular-sized Ball mason jars and are BPA-free. That said, they are not safe for preserving food. So, if that’s what you’re after, it’s best to stick to the traditional lids.
Even if you don’t care what the lids on your mason jars look like, you may still want to jump on this deal at Dollar Tree. Not only are mason jars good for food storage, but they’re also great stocking stuffers as well. If gifting food in jars hasn’t crossed your mind before, here’s a list of ideas to inspire you. Whether it’s homemade hot cocoa or homemade vanilla extract, there are countless ways homemade food can make for fabulous holiday gifts.
