These dual mini-monitors can help users take their at-home setup on the road

Having multiple monitors connected to a desktop PC can greatly improve your workflow, and I can say that with some authority. My second screen saves me the trouble of jumping between windows just to glance at or shift info around. Portable monitors can let you have a similar setup with a laptop, but one may not be enough.

Tech accessory brand JSAUX has a solution for this — enter the FlipGo Horizon. The company debuted the duo monitors at CES 2025. These compact screens can extend a laptop’s display to a ridiculous degree. According to the announcement, three models of varying sizes will be available at launch: 13.5, 15.6, and 16 inches, weighing between 2.4 to around four pounds. They’re compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux devices alike.

Setting up the FlipGo Horizon appears fairly simple. Buyers receive a foldable base that can be stood up and possess two flaps that can be opened. These flaps house magnets to securely hold the dual screens and they connect directly to a laptop via a USB-C cable. 

You won’t be required to download drivers to get these displays to work. As JSAUX explains, they work right “out of the box.” What’s more, the duo supports landscape and portrait orientations. Users can have two horizontal monitors, for example, or have one horizontal and the other vertical.

I can definitely see myself taking the FlipGo Horizon with me while traveling. I often miss my multi-monitor setup on the road, and this is a solid way to replicate that. However, I do have some questions, such as what the resolution on both screens is and how much they cost. JSAUX has yet to reveal these details, although we can look at the original FlipGo to get an idea of what to expect.

The original model has a pair of 2K displays on top of each other, running at a refresh rate of 60Hz and supporting the entire sRGB color gamut. They are IPS panels with a contrast ratio of 1,500: 1 plus a maximum brightness of 400 nits.

Prices start at $239 for the Lite model and go up to $600 for the version with a touchscreen. Upon release, we could see similar specs for FlipGo Horizon. The product page for the upcoming snap-on screen states that a Kickstarter is coming soon, but an exact date has not been given.
