These Amazon Shopper-Loved Dish Towels Are on Sale for 70 Cents Apiece

I’m constantly on the hunt for opportunities to make my everyday routine a little more Earth-friendly. This hasn’t always been easy for me — I grew up with an intense love of plastic straws — but I’m trying to make changes where and when I can. From turning food waste into delicious dinners to cleaning out my fridge every week to limit avoidable spoilage, I’ve realized that the key to getting myself to commit to sustainability is through small, easy changes. I started by swapping my plastic straws out for reusable ones, and now I’m coming for my paper towels.

While I haven’t had the pleasure of sampling these washable dishcloths myself, over 1,000 shoppers have given them five stars in my stead. I trust the masses, and will be adding this 10-pack to my cart while it’s 30% off at Amazon — and so should you.

According to the company, these dishcloths are made out of cellulose and can hold up to 20 times their own water weight. Once they reach peak saturation, you can pop them in the washing machine and reuse them for up to 10 weeks before they need to be replaced. If you crunch the numbers, which I didn’t do, but Aidea did, it turns out that just one cloth can replace about 15 rolls of paper towels. I’m no mathematician, but it seems that using these towels will save me money while also reducing waste.

The brand describes their texture as scrubby when dry and spongy when wet, meaning they’re suitable for every surface in a house. Shoppers love this versatility. They also appreciate how quickly the cloths dry without retaining any off-putting odors, saying they soak up spills “better than a sponge.”

One happy customer went so far as to call them “the best things ever made,” noting that “they clean well and are super absorbent.” Others had the brilliant idea to “cut them in half for dishes and leave them whole for larger jobs” to make them last even longer.

It’s through small steps like replacing paper towels with reusable dishcloths that you can start to reduce your own waste at home. Personally, I’ll jump at the opportunity to save trees and dollars with towels like these. It’s a win for my wallet and the environment.
