The Last Of Us 2 PC Is Reportedly Complete, Despite No Official Announcement

The Last Of Us Part 2 is one of the most-acclaimed games of the past few years, but it has stubbornly remained a PlayStation exclusive for that time. A leaker with a proven track record of reliably releasing game info ahead of time recently said that the PC port of The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered has been finished for more than six months.

That leaker–Billbil-kun, over at Dealabs Magazine–claims that development on The Last Of Us Part 2 started way back in 2021, and that it concluded prior to this year, perhaps in November 2023. The leaker notes that the remastered version of the game was released on PS5 in January 2024, which perhaps means that Sony is deliberately holding back the PC port. Billbil-kun then speculates that it may release with season 2 of the HBO TV adaptation, which is set to come out in 2025.

As with all leaks of this nature, we recommend you take it with a grain of salt. However, it has been almost four years since The Last of Us Part 2 came out, which means Sony’s had plenty of time to work on a PC port. Over the past few years, Sony has released PC ports of its big exclusives months or even years after their launch on PS4 or PS5. For example, Ghost of Tsushima came out in May of this year, almost four years after its 2020 console launch.
