The Dark Rose. A warming, sweet, and delicious winter drink or mocktail. Itâs a romantic twist on the classic Moscow Mule. Tequila mixed with a splash of raspberry liquor (Chambord), pomegranate juice, lemon, and ginger beer. Finish with rose petals for the rosiest winter cocktail. The mocktail variation is also included with the recipe.
Back with a special Valentine’s Day-inspired drink today! I found these pretty glasses and immediately knew I needed to share this recipe – in these glasses!
A simple tequila ginger cocktail (or mocktail) to celebrate a romantic winter night with people you love!
Whether itâs a boyfriend/girlfriend, your best group of gals, or family and friends, this is the perfect drink to share on Valentine’s Day!
I made the mocktail for my younger sister, Asher, and myself as a Valentine’s treat!
It was so fun to celebrate this fun season with her!
No matter who you share this drink with, it will be loved!
Here are the details
Step 1:Â fill a cocktail glass with ice
I used coupe glasses (sold out, but these coupe glasses are a cute alternative) for a fancy, romantic feel. But pick your favorite stemware to use! Or, use your favorite rocks glass.
Step 2: shake, shake, shake
In a cocktail shaker â or use a glass jar, shake the tequila, raspberry liquor, pomegranate juice, and lemon juice. Shake to mix. Then add ice and shake until chilled.
Strain into your ice-filled glass.
Step 3:Â add ginger beer
Pour the ginger beer overtop. Now, add a small spoonful of pomegranate arils (seeds). If desired, you can add a couple of rose petals too.
Itâs an extra finishing touch but a pretty romantic one!
