Cinematographer Dariusz Wolski–who worked on the original movie as director of photography–supervised this 4K restoration of The Crow, and if you’re familiar with the film, you’ll know just how haunting the visuals are. Constant rain, a sharp contrast between light and dark, a kickass soundtrack, and peak ’90s art direction made this movie a standout at the time.

Starring Brandon Lee as musician Eric Draven, The Crow is a tragic tale of love, death, and revenge. After Draven and his fiancée are brutally murdered, he rises from his grave a year later to wreak havoc on the gang and their leader, Top Dollar, who were responsible for his death.

The film is also sadly known for being the final performance of Lee, as he tragically died during its production when he was fatally wounded in a freak accident involving a prop gun. The Crow was eventually released in 1994, and Lee earned critical acclaim for his work in the movie.
