The Costco Bakery Dessert That ‘Completely Ruins’ Restaurant Versions

Estimated read time 3 min read

While we love baking something sweet at home, there are certain desserts that almost always taste better at restaurants. Molten cake, key lime pie, New York cheesecake, and panna cotta are some of the top ones that come to mind. However, it’s hard not to notice that a slice of pie or cake typically costs close to $10 each, and if you’re looking to share with a crowd, that can add up pretty quickly.

Thankfully, Costco Bakery always has a supply of affordable, ready-to-devour desserts in bulk. Everything, from its Maple Butter Pecan Bar Layer Cake to its 24-count Cannoli Kit helps feed our sweet tooth—and it feeds well.

Costco’s latest dessert is just that and then some, and if you’re a lover of all sweet things like us, you’ll want to hear all about it.

Costco’s Massive Tub of Tiramisu

A Costco fan recently shared on Instagram that the warehouse now carries tiramisu in an “absurdly huge tub of perfection.” It is so good that “once you start, it’s nearly impossible to stop,” she writes. In fact, it’s so incredible that she believes it’ll “completely ruin fancy tiramisu for you.”

She’s not alone in that sentiment. Another fan commented that this is a “dangerous buy” because they don’t know how they’d ever be “able to put my spoon away,” while another added that it’s a “great value and very tasty.” We’re ready to make a quick warehouse run, how about you?

Well, better not get into the car just yet. Once our excitement calmed, we noticed that this post came from Canada. We searched high and low online to see if anyone else had been chatting about this latest find in the U.S. but unfortunately, it seems the only tiramisu offered here comes in a smaller portion. We’re afraid this item may be yet another delicious find that is only available to Costco members in Canada—at least for now.

Luckily, some fans shared on the post that there is a Sam’s Club version available in the U.S. that looks similar to what we’re seeing from our Canadian friends. It’s sold in a big ol’ 2-pound tub, and members are saying, “it’s fire” and you “absolutely need to try” it.

We’re crossing our fingers for Costco’s tiramisu to hit local stores soon, but until then, at least we have other options.
