If you shop at Aldi, you’re probably already familiar with Mama Cozzi’s pizzas. The brand is an Aldi fan favorite because of its affordability and flavor options. While the pepperoni and cheese frozen pizzas are staples, we can’t get enough of the unique offerings like breakfast pizza complete with a biscuit crust, and its refrigerated flatbread lineup.
Now, another Mama Cozzi’s favorite is back on shelves, but only for a limited time.
Aldi’s Pepperoni Pan Pizza
Mama Cozzi’s Pepperoni Pan Pizzas have returned to Aldi giving customers even more reason to skip delivery pizza. The Detroit-style pizza features a thick and crispy crust topped with layers of shredded mozzarella cheese and slices of pepperoni. According to the box, this meal takes 18-21 minutes to bake, making it a great option for busy days when you don’t have time to make your own. Plus, it comes in an oven-safe pan so you don’t even have to dirty a dish.
One Redditor posted the find with a photo of their cooked pizza, showcasing its golden brown cheese and crispy edges. “This pizza is one of the best-tasting foods that I’ve bought from Aldi. I didn’t expect it to be this good. I’m definitely getting a few more of these,” the user wrote in the caption.
Fans were excited to see the positive review and many agreed that it exceeded their expectations. “I totally recommend it. I almost feel like I ordered it. I’m shocked in a good way how much this pizza slaps. It would be great if it was a regular item instead of an Aldi find,” said the impressed fan.
And another user chimed in to say they thought it tasted like takeout, too. “Picked it up after seeing multiple posts today about it–agreed, it doesn’t taste like usual home-baked frozen pizza, tastes more like ordered,” they said.
Some were curious if the pan pizza tasted similar to Motor City Pizza Co., another Detroit-style offering sold in stores like Walmart, Target, and Costco. “I wonder if it’s the actual Motor City one? It looks the same and the Motor City one is fantastic,” said one commenter. “I got this and tried it last night. It definitely reminded me of the Motor City pizza,” responded another.
If you want to snag your own, you’ll have to act fast. Just like with other Aldi Finds, Mama Cozzi’s Pepperoni Pan Pizza won’t last long, and this pizza looks so good it might just be worth a special trip.
