They say when it rains it pours, and right now it’s pouring Taco Bell menu items. Since Live Más Live in early March, the chain has been pretty quiet. Prior to the event, where Taco Bell announced 30 new menu items, the restaurant had released a few innovations, like the Caliente Cantina Chicken and Crunchwrap Sliders. However, we hadn’t seen any of the Live Más Live announcements come to fruition until now.
Taco Bell must have been gearing up for this week because, as of March 27, two Live Más Live menu announcements have been released, as well as three other menu items. The fast food chain brought its Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas and Caliente Cantina Chicken Nacho Fries to menus nationwide and began three new menu tests.
Taco Bell Is Testing 3 New Menu Items

As announced at Live Más Live, Taco Bell has resurrected its fan-loved Beefy Crunch Burrito, now rebranded as the Flamin’ Hot Burrito. The new Flamin’ Hot Burrito features the same Flamin’ Hot Fritos, beef, sour cream, and nacho cheese, but with the addition of new Flamin’ Hot rice, all in a warm flour tortilla. The burrito will be sold à la carte for $2 and is currently being tested in Oklahoma City.

In Atlanta, Taco Bell is testing its all-new Crispalupa. The brand-new creation features a crispy pocket that’s stuffed with Cantina slow-roasted chicken, lettuce, pico de gallo, spicy ranch, and Cheddar cheese. Taco Bell says it’s meant for easy, on-the-go eating and will cost between $3.49 and $4.49, depending on the location.

Lastly, the chain is trying out another new iteration of its Cantina Chicken menu—this time by adding crunch. In the past, the menu has only featured soft-shelled tacos, even though you could get a Crispy Taco version made with a cheesy crust. Now, the chain is trying out the slow-roasted chicken in a crunchy taco shell.
The new Cantina Chicken Crunchy Taco, which is being tested in Minneapolis, will be available in two varieties. The first version is made with slow-roasted chicken, Spicy Ranch sauce, lettuce, and Cheddar cheese in a white corn shell, served with Avocado Verde Salsa. The second version features slow-roasted chicken, Spicy Ranch sauce, lettuce, purple cabbage, Cheddar cheese, and pico de gallo in a white corn shell, also served with Avocado Verde Salsa. The tacos will range from $2.59 to $2.99 in price.
All three menu tests are happening at select restaurants in those cities now. You can contact your local restaurant or check your Taco Bell app to determine if your go-to location is participating in the test. If it is, you’ll want to get there soon because the test items will only be available for a limited time. After that, Taco Bell will determine if it brings the Flamin’ Hot Burrito, Crispalupa, and Cantina Chicken Crunchy Taco to menus nationwide. For now, it’s all up to you.
