One of the small screen’s most beloved comic book adaptations gets its swan song, with season 4 of Superman & Lois taking us to Metropolis and Smallville one last time.

Originally intended to last for at least seven seasons, changes at The CW and its agreement with DC Comics means the show starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as the title characters will be coming to an end much sooner than superhero fans have wanted. The good news is that the show looks set to bow out with a bang.

The final 10-episode season picks up from the dramatic cliffhanger ending of season 3, which saw Clark battling with Lex Luthor’s monstrous creation Doomsday. Said to be a loose adaptation of the Death of Superman comic, early reviews have described the opening episodes of this final run as both “dark” and “heartbreaking.”

Here’s how to stream season 4 of Superman & Lois without a cable or satellite subscription.
