This year, Subway has really stepped it up. It launched a craveable spring menu and brought back its beloved Honey Oat Bread after a four-year hiatus. Then, it expanded the menu again with budget-friendly cheesy dippers and a trio of spicy sandwiches.
Now, Subway is launching a new festive spin on the fan-favorite chocolate chip Footlong Cookie, but only for a limited time.
Subway’s Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie
Starting Nov. 1, Subway fans can snag a new flavor of one of fast food’s biggest desserts. The Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie is landing on menus just in time for all your cookie-filled holiday celebrations. The new treat is made with 12 inches of double chocolate cookie dough, infused with peppermint extract, and loaded with chocolate and white chocolate chips. The massive cookie doubles down on peppermint flavor with a colorful crushed candy cane topping, adding the perfect crunch to every bite.
To make things even sweeter, Subway’s Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong cookie comes in a holiday gift box, making it an ideal dessert, present for cookie lovers, or suspiciously tasty-smelling white elephant gift.
Food reviewer @snackolator recently shared the news with followers writing in the caption “This is going to be a chocolate cookie with chocolate chips and peppermint crunch and I’m 100% going to be grabbing this one.”
Fans of Subway’s original XL cookie agreed. “That looks good. I already tried [the] chocolate chip footlong cookie but I would love to try that peppermint footlong cookie too,” said one user.
Other fans are interested in the cookie but would like it to be offered in a more convenient portion. “I wish it also came in regular size,” said one Instagrammer whose comment received almost 80 likes.
But don’t let the size deter you. Whether you plan on sharing or not, you can slice it however you’d like. Just be sure to store it properly so it stays fresh.
The Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie will be available through Dec. 31, but based on how popular Subway’s cookies are, it’s probably better to stop in soon before they’re gone.
