Prime Day 2024 officially runs July 16-17, but plenty of great deals are now available ahead of the shopping holiday. In fact, Amazon is already offering a generous buy two, get one free sale on tons of Blu-rays, including films from Studio Ghibli. We’ve rounded up the best Ghibli deals featured in Amazon’s early Prime Day sale, which includes limited-edition movies and gorgeous books about Studio Ghibli’s beloved catalog of animated films.

One of the best ways to cash in on this offer is by picking up three steelbooks. For example, you can get steelbooks for Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and My Neighbor Totoro for a total of $39 (down from $81). That’s an incredible discount, and since they all come with premium steelbooks, they’ll look great in your home theater.

More Ghibli steelbooks are featured in the promotion, too. We’ve listed all of them below as well as the cool My Neighbor Totoro Anniversary Edition, which is also discounted to $35 (was $50).

Standard Blu-ray films are also included in the promotion, but since some are only marginally cheaper than their premium steelbook alternatives, dedicated Ghibli fans might as well spring for the fancier versions. However, there are several films that aren’t eligible for the promotion in steelbook format but are present as standard Blu-rays, including Kiki’s Delivery Service and Castle in the Sky. Each of the standard Blu-ray releases comes with a DVD version of the film, too. Standalone DVDs are also in the B2G1 free catalog, with a few of them going for 10 bucks or less.

The Boy and the Heron just released on 4K Blu-ray this week, and while it’s not eligible for the B2G1 free offer (and is sold out at Amazon), the steelbook edition is still available at Walmart. Not only does it get you a gorgeous case to display and protect the film, but it’s on sale for $35 (down from $45). It’s also the first Ghibli movie to be released on 4K Blu-ray. Two books by Hayao Miyazaki (The Art of Princess Mononoke and Shuna’s Journey), which are both seeing great discounts but aren’t part of the B2G1 event.

If you already own most of the Ghibli films, consider checking out one of the many Ghibli books eligible for the B2G1 deal, including The Art of Spirited Away (Hardcover) for $27 (down from $35) or Studio Ghibli: The Complete Works (Hardcover), which is a perfect gift for the Ghibli fan in your life. Two books by Hayao Miyazaki–The Art of Princess Mononoke and the manga Shuna’s Journey–have received steep, limited-time discounts but aren’t part of the B2G1 event.
