Just days after the release of Squid Game season 2, Netflix has announced the launch date of season 3. The third installment of the hugely popular show about a deadly Korean game is scheduled to be released in 2025, Netflix posted on X on New Year’s Eve. An image included in the post features the red light, green light doll, Young-hee, next to a male doll called Chul-su.
“YOUNG-HEE & CHUL-SU,” Netflix posted. “Squid Game Season 3. Coming 2025.”
According to a report Thursday by Forbes, Netflix Korea accidentally revealed, in a video it posted and then took down, that the release date will be June 27.
The second season ended on a cliff-hanger, with the episode Friend or Foe setting the scene for the final conflict, which’ll play out in the final season. It sounds like you won’t have to wait long to discover what happens next, but there’s something you can watch now (just in case you missed it): the Squid Game season 2 post-credits scene.
After the release of the first season of the runaway success, it took more than three years for the second season to arrive. Squid Game seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Netflix now.
