Spicy Ginger Pomegranate Moscow Mule: Vodka mixed with lime juice, pomegranate juice, spicy jalapeños, and topped off with ginger beer. Itâs a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy, perfectly fitting for a winter cocktail. Finish each Moscow Mule with sugared mint and pomegranate arils. Itâs both festive and warming, perfect for holiday parties and cold winter nights.
The excitement is building, Christmas is nearly here! We’re just days away from the most special and festive time of year!
No matter what your plans are for this week, everyone is looking for a great cocktail to mix up. For me, it wouldn’t be the holidays without mixing up fun cocktails.
Mixing up drinks has become something I love about the holidays. Whether we’re home or traveling, like we are this year. My brothers, cousins, and sister-in-law all begin to pile into my kitchen at 5 o’clock pretty much every day as we celebrate Christmas and New Year’s! A spicy, minty Moscow Mule is the drink that everyone asks for on repeat.
I first started making them spicy when my brother, Red, asked if I could make his Mule spicy. I’d honestly never thought to do that, but I loved the idea.
That was a few years ago, and I’d shaken the drink up with Cayenne. Now, I prefer to use jalapeños as we like the flavor better!

Special Tools
Just a glass! If you have Moscow Mule mugs, be sure to use those! I always think they’re so festive!
Steps:
Step 1: mix the drink
Use either a cocktail shaker or a glass jar with a lid. Mix the vodka, lime juice, pomegranate juice, jalapeño slices, and torn mint. Shake the drink for 1 or 2 minutes.
The longer you shake, the spicier the drink will be, so keep that in mind!
Step 2: pour over ice
Now, pick your cocktail glass. Again, a Moscow Mule mug is always festive and fun!
Fill the mug with ice and pour over the drink. Top off with ginger beer.
Step 3: add the sugared mint and serve
I love to make each drink special with a sprig of sugared mint and a handful of pomegranate arils.
Itâs so pretty!
I plan to serve this at least once over the next few days. Itâs so crazy that Christmas is here! All of the holiday parties and festive nights are in full swing!

1. Combine the vodka, lime juice, pomegranate juice, jalapeños, and mint in a pitcher. Stir to combine and chill for 2 hours. The longer the jalapeños sit, the spicier the drink. Or fill glasses with the spicy mix and top each glass off with ginger beer. Top with pomegranate and sugared mint.3. To Make A Mocktail: omit the vodka and add an additional 1/4 tablespoon of lime juice and 2-3 cups of pomegranate juice.
