Sparkling Mistletoe Cosmo. Vodka mixed with Cointreau (orange liqueur), sweet pomegranate juice, and lime juice and topped with bubbly champagne. And just before serving, add pomegranate arils and sugared rosemary to make each drink special for the season. A sparkly festive Christmas punch that’s wonderfully delicious. If no alcohol is preferred, mix up my mocktail variation. Everyone will love this punch at your next holiday party! ‘Tis the season!

I told you that I was excited for this season’s Christmas cocktails. Today’s cocktail feels so fun, festive, and special! And the best part is it’s so easy. It seems I get the most excited over the simplest recipes, but really, aren’t they the best!

This fun cosmo was all thanks to my cousin Maggie. She suggested a mistletoe cosmo as one of this year’s Christmas drinks. As soon as she mentioned it to me, I took the idea and ran with it. This is my first cosmo, but not my last.

I love the simplicity of this drink.

The only thing I knew for sure was that my cosmo needed to be festive. Pomegranate juice was high on my list of ingredients, plus sugared rosemary to make each drink special. Oh, and topping the combo with champagne, I knew that would complete the drink.

My Cosmo Punch turned out so good. I’m really excited to share the recipe with you all. You can make this with alcohol or without. Both recipes are equally loved!

Special Tools

Nothing, just a glass pitcher to mix your holiday punch!

Steps

Step 1: mix the punch

There’s nothing fancy or fussy about this punch. It’s a mix of everything we love most about wintertime and the holidays.

First, mix up the base of the punch: Vodka, Cointreau (orange liqueur), pomegranate juice, and lime juice. A traditional cosmo has vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and lime juice. I swapped out the cranberry juice for pomegranate juice, mainly because I prefer the sweeter taste of pomegranates.

If you are mixing up the mocktail version, use pomegranate juice, orange juice, lime juice, and apple cider vinegar.

Chill the punch until you’re ready to serve.

Step 2: add the bubbles

When you’re ready to serve guests, you can add ice to your punch bowl and pour over the champagne.

If you’re mixing up the mocktail, pour over the ginger beer.

Although champagne is not traditional, I adore the sparkle and sweetness it naturally adds to each drink.

Step 3: serve

I love to make each drink special with a sprig of sugared rosemary and a handful of pomegranate arils.

It’s so pretty!

I’m planning to make this cosmo for upcoming Christmas parties. It’s crazy that we’re already a full week into December. Holiday parties are in full swing!

Kick off the holiday week in the best way possible with a festive holiday cocktail in hand!
