Set Photos Of James Gunn’s Superman Reveal Man Of Steel And Mr. Terrific In Costume

James Gunn’s Superman is currently being filmed in Cleveland, Ohio (coincidentally the birthplace of Superman) some local eyes have spotted the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) and Mr. Terrific ( Edi Gathegi) on set and in full gear. Fans got their first look at Superman’s new duds a few months back, but we finally have our first look at Gathegi’s comic-accurate costume.

Designed by John Ostrander and Tom Mandrake, this rendition of Mr. Terrific first appeared in 1997 and has been a member of the Justice League and Justice Society of America, as well as the enigmatic Checkmate. Check out the looks below, and there’s more at Cleveland.com.

Corenswet’s Superman costume is exponentially brighter than the previous incarnations and more in tune with Christopher Reeve’s robin egg blue. Terrifiic’s t-mask has some dimension instead of looking more like facepaint.

Superman will land in theaters on July 11, 2025, and also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Skylder Gisonda as Jimmy Olsen. The rest of the cast includes a number of famous names and faces in the DC Universe, including Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Terence Rosemore (Otis), and Maria Gabriela de Faria (Engineer).
