What can we expect from the first day of SDCC?

First up, from 11:45 AM PST on Thursday, is a Transformers: One panel. Stars Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry will be in attendance and, if the early Transformers One reactions are any indication, it’s going to be a must watch instalment later this year. Expect more teases and tasters from the Cybertron-set origin tomorrow.

Planet of the Apes, Peacock horror series Teacup, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are also a part of the opening salvo of panels this year.

What We Do in the Shadows is another to sink your teeth into – remember, follow Total Film on Twitter and keep on the GamesRadar+ website for all the latest from the convention floor – while Those About to Die and Venus Prime round out the initial set of talks.

There’s even a special Deadpool and Wolverine panel – with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman expected – at 6:30 PM PST.

Hello and welcome to our continuing coverage of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con!

After last year’s quiet (largely down to the WGA strike and SAG-AFTRA strike), this year sees SDCC storming back with multiple big-name events and exciting panels.

From Thursday to Sunday (Wednesday is for those lucky, lucky press, including two of GamesRadar+’s own), SDCC will deliver a wide range of talks, previews, panels, and peeks into the hottest movies and shows just around the corner.

From a Deadpool and Wolverine celebration this Thursday, to The Boys and Doctor Who on Friday, all fandom bases are covered. And, yes, there’s even a Marvel Studios panel from Hall H for the first time in two years this Saturday.

In a word? It’s going to be epic. And you’ll be able to follow along with everything here on this page with GamesRadar+. We’ll have all the latest news, announcements, and reveals, plus exclusive insight from the convention floor in San Diego.
