There’s no dip quite like hummus. Made from blended chickpeas and tahini, the versatile spread goes far beyond your usual snack-time dipping essentials like pretzels and chips. Its naturally nutty undertones make it an excellent addition to grilled Halloumi wraps, chicken shawarma, and even warm Mediterranean pasta salad.
And while there are many recipes you can whip up at home, you can’t beat the convenience of grabbing a prepared tub of hummus from the grocery store. Sabra, one brand that landed in the top three of our hummus taste test, is known for its wide range of flavors including Caramelized Onion, Roasted Red Pepper, and Olive Tapenade.
Now, Sabra is launching two new global flavors that are sure to elevate all of your favorite hummus-filled meals.
Sabra Launches Chimichurri Hummus and Falafel Style Hummus
Sabra’s Chimichurri Hummus and Falafel Style Hummus are already heading to stores, offering fans of the spread a fresh way to snack. Sabra Chimichurri Hummus features a generous portion of the green-hued sauce in the center of a smooth and creamy hummus base. For those unfamiliar, chimichurri is an Argentinian uncooked sauce that gets its color from chopped herbs including parsley and oregano. White wine vinegar adds a bright tang that perfectly complements the sauce’s garlicky notes. Chimichurri goes well with a number of dishes like grilled steak and chicken, so we could easily see adding Sabra’s Chimichurri Hummus to protein-filled plates and grain bowls, too.
For those who love the taste of crispy, golden falafel, Sabra has captured those Middle Eastern flavors in a convenient dippable form. While it may not have the crispy breaded coating of authentic falafel, the center is loaded with a chunky blend of herbs, spices, and soft tomato pieces that will remind you of biting into your favorite falafel-stuffed pita.
Sabra’s Chimichurri Hummus and Falafel Style Hummus are available at major retailers, including Kroger and Target, so be sure to look in the deli section on your next grocery run. Additionally, you can look on the brand’s website before you head out the door to see which products are available at your local store.
