Dune: Part II comes to theaters on March 1, but ahead of that, reviews for the sci-fi film have begun to appear online. To help you get an idea about whether the film is worth your time and money, we’re collecting review scores and excerpts from a variety of publications across the internet.
Here at GameSpot, our Dune 2 review scored the movie a 9/10. Reviewer Phil Owen said the movie is “much weirder and more fun” than the 2021 original.
Dune: Part II is a sequel to 2021’s Dune, which was released simultaneously in theaters and on Max (then known as HBO Max) due to the pandemic. The sequel brings back director Denis Villenueve and main cast members Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya. Austin Butler joins the sequel as Feyd Rautha. Beyond telling the next chapter of the story, much has been said about the Dune: Part II popcorn bucket, for better or worse.
The Dune films are based on the Frank Herbert novel series, which began in 1965. Villenueve has said he has ideas for a third Dune movie to wrap up his trilogy.
