Popeyes has been serving spicy New Orleans-style fried chicken for more than 50 years, solidifying its reputation as a brand that knows Southern food. From chef-approved crispy chicken sandwiches to classic Southern sides like red beans and rice, home-style macaroni and cheese, and buttery biscuits, it’s clear that the fried chicken chain knows how to showcase delicious comfort food at its finest.
Now, Popeyes is releasing a brand new wing flavor that’s inspired by the bold, Cajun flavors that define Louisiana cuisine.
The New Popeyes Louisiana Garlic Wings
Popeyes is returning to its roots for its new Louisiana Garlic wings, which are marinated and tossed in a garlic-butter sauce that pays homage to the flavors of New Orleans. The new flavor will hit Popeyes locations nationwide beginning on Jan. 7, 2025.
In addition to a new wing flavor, Popeyes will also offer a Game Day Bundle that’s sure to spice up any winter gathering. The bundle includes 24 wings (boneless or bone-in), three regular sides, and four dip cup sauces for $24.99. Just in time for watching the football playoffs, the bundle will be available for order in-store, on the Popeyes app, and at Popeyes.com.
If wings aren’t your thing, there are more savings to be had at the chicken chain this winter. Popeyes will also bring back its three-piece signature chicken combo, which includes three pieces of its signature bone-in chicken, a side, and a buttermilk biscuit with a drink for just $5.
We’re a big fan of adding delicious wings and fried chicken to a Sunday gathering spread. Paired with crowd-pleasers like Texas chili, cheese dip, and a good snack board, crispy fried chicken and wings from places like Popeyes are sure to hit the spot and have football fans cheering for your hosting skills.
