PlayStation’s annual Days of Play sale begins tomorrow, May 29, offering deals on games, consoles, and other accessories through June 12. Most of the discounts are expected to go live at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and GameStop–giving you plenty of places to shop in case your preferred retailer runs out of inventory. Along with discounts, you’ll find new daily challenges available to PlayStation Plus members, and if the community completes the challenge, fans will unlock cool rewards.
PlayStation provided a preview of the biggest deals, but we wouldn’t be surprised if more offers pop up when Days of Play officially starts. That said, we already know there will be deals on the PS5 Slim, PS5 Slim Digital, PlayStation VR 2, and a handful of exclusive games, including a few newer releases.
$450 (was $500)
The PS5 Slim will be on sale for $50 at major retailers. Along with a 1TB SSD, this is the version that comes with an optical drive so you can play physical games or watch Blu-ray movies. Along with the below listings, Target and GameStop should have PS5 Slim consoles in stock for the sale price.
$400 (was $450)
If you don’t mind sticking to digital content only, you can save a bit of cash with the PS5 Slim Digital. It offers the same 1TB SSD as its more expensive sibling as well as the same internal hardware, so performance is the same across the board–it’s just a bit slimmer and will only play digital games purchased through the PlayStation Store. If the below retailers sell out, be sure to check Target and GameStop.
$450 (was $550)
This is one of the best discounts we’ve seen for the headset since it arrived last year. Along with 4K HDR visuals and the unique Sense controllers, the platform has built up a decent catalog of major releases, including No Man’s Sky, Resident Evil Village, and Horizon Call of the Mountain. Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target and GameStop should all have this deal.
$500 (was $600)
Horizon Call of the Mountain is arguably the best game to showcase the PSVR 2’s impressive performance, so if you’re buying the headset, it makes sense to pair it with Horizon. Along with the headset and Sense controllers, you’ll get a digital copy of the game. Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target will likely all have this deal while supplies last.
Here’s the current list of PlayStation games that will be on sale for $20 off during Days of Play:
Best PlayStation Days of Play game deals
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- The Last of Us Part II Remastered
- MLB The Show 24
- MLB The Show 24: The Negro Leagues Edition
- Rise of the Ronin
Aside from the above price cuts, there are some great deals through PlayStation Direct. For example, PlayStation Plus members who buy a PS5 or PSVR2 through PlayStation Direct will get a free 12-month membership to Netflix Premium. You’ll also see a $10 discount on all PS5 console covers and $80 off the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition.
They’ll be plenty of other ways to save during Days of Play, so be sure to pop into the PlayStation Store from now through June 12 to cash in on the fun.
