PlayStation Accessories App Lets You Customize Your DualSense Edge For PC

Estimated read time 2 min read

The firmware app for DualSense on PC has gotten a full upgrade and UI overhaul. It’s now called PlayStation Accessories and it lets you customize your DualSense Edge controller’s button layouts, stick sensitivity, and more directly on your PC.

The biggest single new feature is the ability to create, edit, and switch between custom controller profiles on PC. This is exclusive to the DualSense Edge. If you are using a regular DualSense on your computer, you can only use the app to download firmware updates.

In these profiles you can change button assignments, adjust stick sensitivity and deadzones, alter the intensity of vibration and trigger effect, and fine-tune trigger deadzones. Profiles are saved to the controller itself, meaning you can carry your settings to your PS5 and back to your PC. You can switch profiles by pressing and holding the Fn button on your controller and then pressing the face button corresponding to your profile. Once you switch profiles, your controller will vibrate a specific number of times based on which profile you chose. You can also change what your controller does upon switching profiles in the controller settings.

In other PlayStation news, a new report suggested a PS5 Pro could release later this year and it might be announced at a September State of Play. As long rumored, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will arrive on PlayStation 5 a few months after it releases on Xbox and PC.
