Outback Just Unveiled Its New Holiday Menu, and We’re Making a Reservation ASAP

As the holidays quickly approach, we can’t help but get excited about all the festive menu options from our favorite restaurants. From Red Lobster’s new holiday menu to P.F. Chang’s new Golden Feast, it’s going to be hard to choose the location for our next takeout or date night.

Now we can add Outback Steakhouse to the lineup of restaurants getting into the holiday spirit. The dine-in chain famous for its Bloomin’ Onion is kicking off the season with “Steakmas,” featuring new and returning menu items available now through Jan. 1.

Outback Steakhouse’s New Holiday Menu

Steakmas kicks off with an irresistible appetizer: the new Three Cheese Steak Dip. For the first time, you can dip into your steak—literally. This bubbling dish of creamy three-cheese goodness is packed with tender, seasoned steak and topped with diced tomatoes and green onions. It arrives at your table in a skillet, ready to be scooped up with crispy tortilla chips.

Another new addition is the Chimichurri Filet,  a seared filet mignon that’s served sliced beneath a festive-looking ribbon of the herbaceous, garlicky sauce. It’s served alongside a pile of Bloomin’ Carrot Crunch—crispy, ultra-thin fried carrots—plus a choice of steakhouse potato and side.

Outback is also bringing back a few fan favorites from last year. The Bloomin’ Onion Sirloin combines two iconic menu items: a center-cut sirloin layered with melted provolone cheese and topped with Bloomin’ Onion petals. On the side, you’ll find a mini portion of French onion soup for dipping.

For hearty appetites, the 18-ounce Bone-In Ribeye with Bourbon Onion delivers serious flavor. This ultra-marbled, exceptionally tender steak gets even more pizzazz from a caramelized Jim Beam Bourbon onion on top, covered in bacon and garlic butter. Like all Outback steaks, it comes with a choice of potato and side, such as green beans or seasoned rice.

But Steakmas isn’t just about steak. Other festive offerings include Bloomin’ Fried Shrimp and the showstopping Chocolate Tower dessert—a six-layer chocolate cake topped with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and a drizzle of raspberry sauce.

To toast the season, Outback has brought back two holiday cocktails: the Gingerbread Cookie Martini, served with a collectible koala keepsake, and the Smoked Cinnamon Pecan Old Fashioned.

Meet Koala on the Walla and Koala at the Malla

Outback’s holiday spirit also extends beyond restaurant walls. Watch out for the Koala on the Walla, Outback’s answer to Elf on the Shelf. According to a viral video from Outback Steakhouse last year, “If you’re naughty, you don’t get any steak.” The unblinking eyes of the Koala on the Walla indeed belong to a real toy and are not just a marketing ploy.

Mall Santas might also be an endangered species after kids meet Koala at the Malla. The mischievous marsupial is making appearances at select malls and Outback locations throughout the Steakmas season. At each stop, the first 250 guests will receive a plush Koala on the Walla and a gift card.

If you’re not among those 250 lucky diners, you can still purchase your own Koala at the Outback online store. There, you’ll also find Steakmas-themed garb like a sweatshirt and T-shirt. Outback fans can decorate their trees with a Bloomin’ Onion ornament or wrap their presents in Koala-on-the-Walla wrapping paper. This year, we have plenty of reasons to follow his reminder to “Be Good for Goodness Steak.”
