There’s no denying this has been the year of the dirty soda. The internet was obsessed with customizing their favorite carbonated beverages—even Taco Bell and Coffee mate jumped on the trend, too. But before dirty soda’s rise to fame, there was #watertok. The TikTok trend occurred during the Stanley craze and featured users mixing a variety of flavored drink powders to create elaborate colorful beverages.

The trend may have cooled off, but as we approach 2025 with new intentions, it’s possible you may be looking for some fresh ways to stay hydrated. And if #watertok taught us anything, it’s that you should do what works for you when it comes to drinking water, even if that means adding a little flavor. 

Luckily, Ocean Spray just dropped a new product, and it’s going to make hitting your daily hydration goal easier than ever.

Ocean Spray Launches Powdered Drink Mixes 

For the first time, Ocean Spray is launching some of its most popular bottled flavors as powdered drink mixes. The brand is teaming up with Dyla, the company responsible for a variety of mixes based on popular beverages such as Crush, Hawaiian Punch, and 7Up, just to name a few. The zero-sugar powdered drink mixes will be available in three flavors: Cran X Grape, Cran X Strawberry, and White Cran X Peach. They are made with real cranberry juice powder sourced from Ocean Spray’s co-op of family farms. This new product offers fans an on-the-go beverage with the same quality the brand puts into its entire juice aisle lineup.

Recently, Ocean Spray shared an Instagram video featuring the vibrant powder being stirred into a glass of water. Social media users flocked to the comment section to share their excitement. “I need a break from True Lemon mixes…these sound perfect!” wrote one user. “Wow! Always making fire products…Delish,” wrote another.

One Instagrammer pointed out a genius use for the product.“This would be great for traveling,” they said. And they’re right, powdered drink mixes are one of our favorite foodie travel hacks because you can take them through airport security and the pouches take up much less space in luggage than bottled drinks.

Ocean Spray Drink Mixes are available on Amazon and will be hitting shelves in Publix, Giant Company, Schnucks, and Walmart.com in January. Fans can expect a slow rollout to other major retailers throughout 2025.
