After an impressive showing at the Xbox Developer Direct on January 23, Koei Tecmo surprised fans by dropping Ninja Gaiden 2 Black the same day. Now, just a week later, the game is discounted on PC. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black lets you play as Ryu Hayabusa–a ninja who wields the legendary Dragon Sword. The core gameplay has remained the same over the past 15 years, meaning you’ll still be treated to a fast-paced and bloody combat system. However, this new version benefits from improved visuals, stages, characters, and lighting effects from Unreal Engine 5 that create a more modern gaming experience.

Team Ninja told the same story in Sigma 2, but the gameplay, level design, boss battles, and other features were markedly different. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is more of an amalgamation of the two previous releases.
