The League of Legends-inspired Arcane Season 2 and Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft are already two of Netflix’s most-anticipated new arrivals of the fall. But as demonstrated during Geeked Week, Netflix is betting big on video game adaptations beyond those shows including new animated series for Splinter Cell, Devil May Cry, and Cyberpunk.
Fans have been asking for a new Splinter Cell game for well over a decade, but this animated adaptation may be the next best thing. Liev Schreiber is taking over the role of Sam Fisher from Michael Ironside in this show, which will be officially called Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. The first teaser is below, but the series doesn’t have a release date yet.
Castlevania producer Adi Shankar is bringing Devil May Cry to Netflix in April 2025. This series is based upon Capcom’s action games starring a stylish demon hunter named Dante. In the first teaser for the show, absolutely nothing seems to phase Dante as he confronts his demonic foes while the laws of physics and gravity don’t seem to apply.
The previously mentioned Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft got a new trailer of its own ahead of the show’s premiere on October 10. Hayley Atwell is stepping in to provide the voice of Lara, as the narrative moves beyond the the reboot trilogy and brings Lady Croft even closer to her video game roots.
Additionally, Netflix announced a new Cyberpunk animated series with a teaser that you can watch below. Further details about the new show weren’t released, but this will be the second animated Cyberpunk series on Netflix after Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Netflix already shared a new trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne earlier this week. The second season of that video game adaptation will arrive in January 2025.
