Whenever Mountain Dew releases new flavors or brings back a discontinued favorite, fans can’t help but get excited. Who isn’t jumping for joy about the return of Voo-Dew Mystery this fall season? But that’s not all. We recently heard that Mountain Dew is set to launch a brand-new flavor soon, alongside the comeback of another crowd favorite.

Mountain Dew’s New Blackberry Citrus Flavor

According to an online leak found on a recent Reddit thread, Mountain Dew will soon be releasing its brand-new flavor Blackberry Citrus. The person who posted about the new flavor is an alleged employee of the “bottling plant” and says “The flavor is very heavy on the blackberry with a very subtle hint of citrus.”

Mountain Dew fans were quick to share their enthusiasm, with one person saying “I’m so excited” and another adding, “Yay let’s go!”

A few fans are curious about whether or not there will be a sugar-free Zero version, but according to some commenters, it’s not very likely. However, others chimed in and said we might see a Citrus Cherry Zero Sugar release sometime next year.

As for when we can expect this new flavor to hit shelves, the Reddit user states this is only a “qualifying run” to ensure the “flavors are good.” While we don’t know how long this type of run can take, we do know from the post that after this part of the process is finished, we can expect to see it on shelves within two weeks.

While a release date has not been confirmed, someone suggested sometime around early November. On another Reddit thread created by the same user, there is also chatter in the comments about November, specifically Nov. 5. Best to keep your eyes peeled on your upcoming shopping run next month.
