Marvel Rivals Is Introducing Jeff-Centric Mode And New Skins During Its Winter Celebration

It’s time to deck the halls and hit the slopes as Marvel Rivals is bringing a brand-new game mode and skins for its limited-time Winter Celebration event. The Winter Celebration will kick off on December 20 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET and introduce Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival–a 4v4 Arcade Mode–into the game.

The Splash Festival will feature a four-player mode, with each player controlling Jeff The Land Shark and attempting to bring their opponents down with icy water-breath and whirlpool attacks. Completing tasks will reward players with limited-time items such as the Jeff the Land Shark: Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume, nameplate, spray, and other rewards. There will also be festive new skins for Eddie Brock, Rocket Raccoon, Magik, and Groot.

Eddie has a jagged glacial look, while Magik is sporting some snow bunny gear. Rocket is donned in Santa’s scarlet, and Groot is a Christmas tree, even decked out with ornaments and lights.

Marvel also announced a new Marvel Rivals comic book series exclusive to the Marvel Unlimited digital comics app, premiering December 16. There will also be a new set of free character sheets for the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game along with a play map, and a new Domination-inspired game mode on December 20.

Starting January 3, all paid Marvel Unlimited subscribers will receive a redemption code for a special spray for Jeff that’ll arrive via their registered email. New subscribers have until December 25 to sign up to receive the spray.
