Marvel Celebrated July 4 With Our Best Look Yet at Sam’s New Captain America Suit

As a movie fan, there are many ways you could’ve celebrated Independence Day this week. Watching Independence Day is one. Taking to trip to Amity Island with Jaws is another. Or, if you’re Marvel Studios, you go even bigger than that and reveal a brand new look at your upcoming Captain America movie.

On July 4, Anthony Mackie took to social media to reveal our best look yet at his brand new Captain America suit from the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World, which hits theaters on February 14, 2025. We’d seen a few angles in other images but here we get Sam going for the full Cap, and it’s majestic as hell. Here’s the full image.

Besides the sleek new design, the main thing to focus on here are the strips going over the shoulders. Those could potentially be there to link into Sam’s wings, a trademark from his Falcon days he might bring to his new role as Captain America.

Beyond the new suit though, we are very anxious to find out more about what this new Captain America has planned in the MCU. A brief scene screened at CinemaCon in April showed Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) triggered like we’ve seen the Winter Soldier in the past, and attempt to kill the president, played by Harrison Ford. Who is behind that? And, will Ford become the Red Hulk like those McDonalds toys suggest?

We’re likely to find out in a few weeks when Marvel Studios returns to San Diego Comic-Con to discuss its upcoming slate, the next of which is Captain America: Brave New World. It opens on Valentine’s Day 2025.
