Lululemon’s ‘We Made Too Much’ Section Features So Many Hidden Gems, Starting at $9

Estimated read time 7 min read

Lululemon is one of those activewear brands I’ve always had on my wishlist, but never actually purchased. It’s not for the brand’s lack of quality—I have always heard incredible things about every piece. It’s moreso due to price.

Little did I know, you can actually shop so many Lululemon pieces for a little less thanks to its “We Made Too Much” section. It’s filled with overstock gear in every category, from t-shirts to sneakers. I scoured  the entire inventory (we’re talking hundreds of picks) and gathered everything I have my eye on right now. Shop all of my best finds below, starting at just $9.

Lululemon “We Made Too Much” Editor’s Picks

Medium Claw Hair Clip

lululemon

This hair clip instantly caught my eye thanks to its unique design. I absolutely love the purple shades we’re seeing this season, and this periwinkle-leaning color is one of my favorites. I also love that it’s not too big or bulky. I recently got my bangs and layers trimmed, and this medium-sized clip looks like a perfect solution for pulling back t all of those front pieces for walks and running errands on hot summer days. I’d wear it the exact same way as the model’s wearing it for a quick half-updo.

Wunder Train Racerback Tank Top Medium Support, B/C

lululemon

These are some of my favorite tops for more intense workouts, especially as the weather warms up. The fabric is sweat-wicking and fast-drying, so it’s great for cardio or intensive training. I typically only need medium support, so I love that this top provides that without the need for an additional layer, like a t-shirt.The shape is ideal, with straps that  stay put, and the length keeps me feeling covered. Sizes are selling out, so act fast if you see yours available.

Align V-Waist Mini-Flare Pant

lululemon

Flare pants are an essential part of my activewear. I love them for low-impact workouts and for walks because they’re breathable and comfortable. This pair, made with the super-soft and breathable Nulu fabric, has a bit of a design twist, with a v-shaped waist that  accentuates, giving you an hourglass silhouette. I love the look of it, and I know they’ll be equally as comfortable too since they’re from the Align collection. So many people have told me just how buttery soft the material is, and this might finally be the pant I buy to try it out.

Swiftly Tech Short-Sleeve Shirt 2.0

lululemon

For outdoor hikes and walks, I like having the coverage of a short-sleeve t-shirt. Not only do I feel more comfortable, but I am also able to cover up more of my skin to help protect it from the sun, which is important to me. This shirt has just the right shape, with short sleeves and a breathable fabric to help prevent overheating. I also love the length, which is long enough to either tuck into shorts or leave untucked for more coverage. It’s available in a few shades, including lilac (my favorite), strawberry milkshake, army green and lichen lime.

Align Dress

lululemon

Exercise dresses have been trending for years, and they’re finally starting to grow on me. It’s funny, because I tend to feel my best in a dress, so why not extend that into my activewear? This option from the Align collection checks all of my boxes. Made of a breathable, sweat-friendly material, it has built-in shorts, a medium level of support and a tight (but not too tight) fit. I can see myself wearing it on walks most, maybe throwing on a cropped sweatshirt on days where it’s still a little chilly.

Align High-Rise Pant, 25-Inch

lululemon

So many of my friends and family members rave about these Align leggings. They’re supposedly the softest pants, plus a lot of people call out that the fabric stands up over time without any pilling or fading. With this pair priced at $39, it’s tough to pass up. They’re my perfect length, at 25 inches, and I love the thicker band up top that smooths your waist. These are also selling fast, so it’s best to move quickly on any colors you like.

Hotty Hot High-Rise Lined Short, 4-Inch

lululemon

According to the EatingWell group chat, these shorts are all the rage right now. I can see why, thanks to their practical design. The thicker band up top adds a level of comfort and support, while the looser fit ensures they’re comfortable enough to wear all day. They have a draw cord on the inside to tighten them, so no straps get in the way. Plus, the zipper pocket makes it easy to hold onto essentials. And, most importantly, they have a built-in liner for extra coverage. Shop them in the 4- or 2.5-inch length right now.

Everywhere Belt Bag 1L Ripstop

lululemon

Associate news and trending editor Dani DeAngelis swears by this belt bag for her walks, and everytime she talks about it, I get that much more convinced to buy it. DeAngelis says she literally takes it everywhere, so the name is fitting. It holds all of her essentials, thanks to the variety of compartments, and is comfortable enough to wear on long walks. I’ve always wanted a black one, and now that this option is just $29, it might finally be time.

Track That High-Rise Lined Short, 5-Inch

lululemon

Editorial director Victoria Seaver loves the mid-rise version of these Track That shorts. “These are my favorite shorts for walking, playing tennis, biking and any other warm-weather activity. They’re flow-y, comfortable and long enough that they don’t ride up at all,” Seaver says. They already sounded perfect, but this high-rise version is even more up my alley. I prefer to feel more tucked-in when I am working out, so anything with a higher rise always beats the  competition. The thicker band, the 5- inch length, the variety of colors and the $39 price tag make these a top-notch pick for summer.

Blissfeel 2 Running Shoe

lululemon

Lululemon also has some shoes in the “We Made Too Much” section. I love the design and colors these Blissfeel 2 sneakers come in. They’re designed for running, and have a neutral level of support, so they’re great for a wide range of people. The Blissfeel 2 also has increased cushioning at the heel to help absorb impact with each step and keep your feet happy throughout your run (or walk). Shop it in mink berry, raw linen, solar orange, white and black, florid orange and faded zap right now.
