Liquid Death and Yeti Are Auctioning Off a Casket Cooler

Spooky Season (or #SpookySZN, depending on who you ask) is right around the corner. And Liquid Death and Yeti are absolutely here for it.

On Wednesday the two brands announced they’re collaborating on what can only be described as the most sinister cooler we’ve ever seen: The Casket Cooler.

Yes. It’s a cooler. Shaped like a casket. And you absolutely need it for your next Halloween party.

According to the two brands, the Casket Cooler was built “with Yet’s heavy-duty, patented T-Latch lid locks and Triple Foam ColdCell technology to keep your drinks ice-cold for an eternity.”

Liquid Death and YETI are introducing the Casket Cooler, a collector’s life-sized casket.

Just like most great Halloween items (we’re looking at you, Home Depot Skeleton), this too is a supremely limited item. In fact, the two brands are auctioning it off as a one-of-a-kind item for all your “death-sized beverages.”

The two brands also released a truly terrifying video of the casket, explaining, “It’s not just a casket. It’s a revolutionary beverage cooler,” as a couple cries in a funeral home while an undertaker asks, “Is this to your satisfaction?” With the crying couple replying, “It’s perfect.” The undertaker then explained how if you want to get your hands on it before you meet your maker, you better bid on it now.

The Casket Cooler will be auctioned off at liquiddeath.com/YETI with a starting bid of $1,500 kicking off today and closing at 12 p.m. Pacific on August 30, with the casket going to the highest bidder. However, it should be noted that it will only be shipped within the contiguous United States, so, sorry, Alaska and Hawaii, but you’re out of the running.

This is also far from the only astonishing marketing stunt Liquid Death has pulled in recent months. In May, it also announced it was giving away an actual fighter jet — though it did offer the winner the chance to trade it in for $250,000 instead.

As for just how big this thing really is, the duo noted its specs as 83 inches wide by 23 inches high and 28 inches deep. It weighs a whopping 85 pounds, without ice. Most importantly, it holds “approximately 378 12oz cans of Liquid Death or 252 19.2oz cans of Liquid Death.”
