The Star Destroyer is one of the most famous starships in sci-fi history, a gargantuan piece of engineering with a signature shape and style. If you’ve been looking to build one but you don’t have the know-how–or resources–to transform 40 million tons of rebel-crushing steel into an instrument of Sith superiority, this Lego Star Wars replica is a more manageable alternative. Available to preorder now at Amazon for $160, this set comes with 1,555 pieces and seven minifigures, including an exclusive 25th anniversary minifigure of Cal Kestis from Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi series.
Other cool features in this playset include a hidden foldout carry handle, two spring-loaded shooters, a lift-off top panel, and side panels that fold out for when you want to access the interior. Inside, you’ll find a bridge, command room, break room, armory, control panels, a cargo box with Kyber Crystal, and thermal detonator elements. For the minifigures, Kestis is joined by Darth Vader, Commander Proaji, an Imperial gunner, an Imperial navy trooper, and a Stormtrooper.
Once assembled, this set will be six inches tall, 18 inches long, and 11 inches wide. Impressive, most impressive!
Lego released several new Star Wars sets last week for Star Wars Day, with the highlight being the Ultimate Collector Series TIE Interceptor. There’s also Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator spaceship, a fantastic Mos Espa podrace diorama, and a cool Droideka model for you to build, in case you want to keep the 25th anniversary vibes of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace going.
