For fans of the musical “Wicked,” now is a big time for celebration. With the release of the new movie version of the beloved Broadway show, it’s hard not to go dancing through life.
What better way to celebrate this new movie musical than with a sweet treat? We have a great dessert recommendation to enjoy while you listen to the new soundtrack. It also happens to be the favorite of one of the most well-known “Wicked” stars ever. Oh, and it only requires three ingredients—what’s not to love?
Kristin Chenoweth’s Homemade Chocolate Dippers
Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth is known for her role as Glinda in the original Broadway cast of “Wicked.” Not only does she dazzle on stage, but she also has a dessert recipe that will surely be a showstopper.
In an interview with People, Chenoweth shared her easy dessert recipe. She calls the snack “chocolate dippers” and they sound like the perfect combination of melted chocolate, rich peanut butter, and vanilla wafers. They come together super quickly, making them wonderful last-minute treats whenever you’re craving something sweet.
Chenoweth says that she is a big sweets fan, but this three-ingredient recipe is a special favorite. “I like anything that I can dip, so if I can dip a wafer into chocolate, I’m going to be really happy,” Chenoweth said in the interview.
Chocolate dippers are not the only delicious dessert Chenoweth has shared with fans. On Halloween, she shared a fun, slightly unhinged recipe for cupcakes. Unlike that recipe, these chocolate dippers are so easy and versatile—we know this snack will change your life for good.
How to Make Kristin Chenoweth’s Chocolate Dippers
Cover something in chocolate and it is sure to be a hit. Chenoweth agrees, which is why she likes to cover cookies in rich, melted chocolate. To make her favorite three-ingredient recipe, all you need are 12 vanilla wafers, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, and a bar of semisweet chocolate.
To assemble the chocolate dippers, make cookie sandwiches by spreading some peanut butter onto a vanilla wafer and adding another wafer on top. While Chenoweth recommends using a teaspoon of peanut butter per wafer, I think you should measure with your heart here.
Then, melt the chocolate and dip the cookie sandwiches halfway into the chocolate. Place the sandwiches on waxed paper and transfer to the refrigerator for ten minutes to cool.
That’s it! The easiest, quickest sweet treat you can find. Enjoy it as a midnight snack or bring it to your next holiday party. We’re sure it’ll make you the most “popular” person there.
