Kraft Is Releasing a First-of-Its-Kind Mac & Cheese We Can’t Wait to Get Our Hands on

Everything bagels may be one of the most comforting breakfast foods out there, especially when toasted until warm and crisp and slathered with a healthy dollop of cream cheese. The oniony, garlicky flavor combo that was once reserved for bagels has made its way into kitchens as a beloved seasoning blend that can be used for everything from roasted veggies to deviled eggs. Now, iconic boxed macaroni and cheese brand Kraft is getting in on the everything bagel craze with its newest variety: a first-of-its-kind flavored Kraft Mac & Cheese.

Kraft Releases New Everything Bagel Mac & Cheese

Kraft’s Everything Bagel Mac & Cheese is the latest flavor innovation from the blue-boxed brand. It will be available for a limited time only, and exclusively on Walmart’s website.

The good news is this savory, garlicky macaroni and cheese sounds incredible and will only run you around $1.60 a box. The bad news is this variety will be particularly tough for fans to get their hands on. Kraft is only releasing 14,000 boxes of the new flavor, which is less than 2% of the number of boxes of Original Kraft Mac & Cheese sold by the brand each day.

A presale for these limited-edition boxes of Kraft macaroni and cheese starts on Nov. 25 at Walmart.com. The flavor officially goes on sale on Nov. 29, and will only be available while supplies last.

Kraft has released several new flavors in recent months, from ranch to jalapeño macaroni and cheese boxes. The latest release is part of a new flavor-focused expansion strategy from Kraft, targeting “Zillenials” (the group of people born between Millennials and Gen-Z) who submitted flavor suggestions to the brand via its “Fan Flavorites“ program. 

While Kraft Everything Bagel Mac & Cheese is the brand’s first foray into experimenting with the popular seasoning, other brands have released their own takes on everything bagel flavoring in recent years. In 2021, ice cream brand Jeni’s debuted everything bagel-flavored ice cream and earlier this year, Cup Noodles released everything bagel ramen. Kraft’s launch comes just in time for post-Thanksgiving meals, when home cooks are tired of looking for uses for their Turkey Day leftovers and instead opting for quick meals they can whip up while they recover from a full day in the kitchen.

Still, if you miss out on purchasing this limited-release macaroni and cheese flavor, there are plenty of easy mac and cheese recipes to try at home, from stovetop mac and cheese to Rihanna’s favorite easy macaroni and cheese recipe. Top any one of these recipes with your own everything bagel seasoning and voila!
