If you thought these next few weeks would be all about the winter holidays, the grocery stores are saying “think again.” Move over Grinch Kisses, red and green M&M’s, and Reese’s trees because Christmas is seemingly over and Valentine’s Day is here.
Yep, we’re skipping right over Santa Claus and your New Year’s resolutions to the season of all things pink, hearts, and love. So, if you haven’t tried the Reese’s Sugar Cookie Peanut Butter Cups or loaded up on Snickers Trees for stuffing stockings, you better get to the store before the Reese’s Hearts and rose-shaped chocolate take over.
Despite the quick seasonal jump, we’re excited about quite a few things coming out of Hershey, Pennsylvania, in the new year—including an all-new Kit Kat shape. After the successful launch of its first-ever shape, Kit Kat Santas, the brand is releasing a new shape for Valentine’s Day.
The First-Ever Valentine’s Day Kit Kat Shape
Although Hershey’s is going all in on heart shapes for its Reese’s and Hershey’s chocolate, Kit Kat will take a different approach this Valentine’s Day. Similar to its Kit Kat Santas, the new shape will play into the pressed design on top of the candy bar.
Kit Kat will release its new Kit Kat Bears in January 2025. The bear-y cute shape features a teddy bear with a heart nose and a heart chest, holding up a heart—like extra lovey-dovey Care Bears.
As with Kit Kat Santas, the bear-shaped Kit Kats are one candy bar—meaning they don’t have the signature break down the middle. However, you can still break your significant other off a piece of that Kit Kat bar—it just might mean someone eats a bear head and someone else gets the feet.
Kit Kat Bears will be available in packs of individually wrapped snack sizes at retailers nationwide for a limited time this winter. The bear-shaped treats join the rest of Hershey’s Valentine’s Day lineup, which includes the return of the Raspberry Creme Kit Kats, Snoopy Hershey’s Kisses, and Twizzlers Hearts, along with the introduction of Reese’s Red Velvet Cups.
It may seem like you have a lot of time to grab these adorable Kit Kats, but let’s face it, when you’re ready to start shopping for Valentine’s Day, it’ll be time for Easter candy. So, maybe grab these new treats as soon as you see them—then you’ll have plenty of time to restock before date night.
