Kellogg’s Just Rolled Out 3 First-of-Their-Kind Cereals

Estimated read time 2 min read

Are you from the generation that woke up on Saturday mornings, poured a bowl of Frosted Flakes, and parked in front of the living room TV to cartoons? If so, you might also recall the Dunkin’ Donuts commercials from the 1970s that introduced Munchkins—the punched-out doughy centers of the donuts.

The story goes that when donut shops would try to take the dough from the holes and form it back into a dough ball to make more donuts, they would be less tender. Enter Munchkins: perfectly poppable donut holes that quickly became iconic. Today, these sweet bites are bakery staples, with brands like Entenmann’s selling ready-to-eat versions.

Now, Kellogg’s has brought that poppable magic to the cereal aisle, combining the nostalgia of Frosted Flakes with the appeal of donut holes. They’ve also given two other fan-favorite cereals a donut-inspired twist, delivering a sweet start to your morning that might take you back to those cartoon-filled Saturdays.

Kellogg’s New Frosted Donut Holes Cereals

Joining Frosted Flakes on store shelves in their new donut hole-inspired form are two other beloved cereals: Apple Jacks and Krave.

  • Frosted Flakes Donut Holes: Crunchy vanilla-flavored, donut hole-shaped cereal pieces coated in a sweet glaze.
  • Apple Jacks Donut Holes: Crunchy apple-cinnamon-flavored, donut hole-shaped cereal pieces coated in a sweet glaze.
  • Krave Donut Holes: Crunchy chocolate-flavored, donut hole-shaped cereal pieces coated in a sweet glaze.

When Frosted Flakes announced the news on its Instagram account, followers were clearly excited. “I’ll take one of each, please!” said one, while another declared, “I need it!” Several fans of @the_cerealqueen echoed that sentiment, with one saying, “Dang, that looks hella good.”

There’s no word yet on whether these cereals are permanent additions to Kellogg’s lineup or just a limited-edition treat. If the thought of a bowlful of these sweet bites has you reminiscing about watching “Smurfs” or “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” you might want to snag a box while they last!
