I mean, just look at that little fella. You’d do anything for him, right? Anything to protect him, make him happy, and maybe even follow him to the ends of the world and back if that’s what was needed.
That’s Quiet and he’s the star of Quiet: Level One, a new graphic novel from Jonah Lobe, an artist whose work you might know from characters he created while at Bethesda in games like Skyrim and Fallout 3 and 4, or from his amazing book Marvel Anatomy: A Scientific Study of the Superhuman. Now though, Lobe has created his own world and decided to center it on this amazing central character who goes on an epic quest. Here are a few more images.
“Quiet: Level One is a graphic novel about a little skeleton’s quest to stop a rampaging barbarian from destroying the Tree of Worlds,” Loeb told io9 via email. “The story is whimsical, frightening, and full of adventure, and the universe is both strange and familiar—even nostalgic—to fans of classic fantasy, videogames, and Dungeons & Dragons.”
The book and its adorable star certainly look like someone we want to follow, and if you feel the same, here’s how. Loeb just launched a Kickstarter (which was fully funded in 36 minutes) for the book and it has all manner of different levels, perks, and more. Head to this link to read all about it. But let’s just help that Quiet can make it out of Level One because we don’t want to see anything bad happen to him.
