Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic Interstellar is celebrating its 10th anniversary in style with a new collector’s edition on 4K Blu-ray. Interstellar 10th Anniversary Limited Edition comes in an oversized box with numerous physical collectibles, and there’s even a brand-new special feature to watch. You can preorder Interstellar’s new Limited Edition at Amazon for $67 ahead of its December 10 release.

You’ll get numerous physical collectibles with Interstellar’s 10th Anniversary Limited Edition:

  • 5 replica spacesuit patches worn by astronauts on the Endurance spaceship
  • Storyboard booklet with never-before-seen sequence
  • 5 theatrical posters
  • Fold-out slipcase featuring imagery from the film
  • Collector’s box for everything above

Interstellar’s new Limited-Edition eschews the steelbook case trend in favor of a fold-out slipcase housing the three discs: 4K Blu-ray, 1080p Blu-ray, and Special Features. Earlier this month, Walmart was taking preorders on an exclusive reprint of Interstellar’s Steelbook Edition, which was only available at Target back in 2014. It was slated to released to launch the same day, but Walmart has since removed the listing from its site.

Interstellar’s bonus content gets a disc of its own, because there’s a lot of it. You can sit back and explore over three hours of extra content, including the brand-new retrospective documentary, The Future Is Now: A Look Back at Interstellar.

In addition to the new documentary, all of the bonus features from the 2017 4K Blu-ray release are included, which is great news. Interstellar was an excellent example of physical media offering a markedly better experience than simply buying a digital copy or streaming it on a service such as Paramount+, where it’s available to watch now.

If you don’t own Interstellar on 4K, it’s worth noting you can get it for $23.70 at Amazon. You’ll miss out on the new documentary and collectibles, but you’ll have access to hours of bonus content.

Released after he’d wrapped up work on the Dark Knight trilogy, Interstellar is a fascinating film that explores if humanity has a future among the stars. Packed with an ensemble cast led by Matthew McConaughey, the film takes a very grounded look at space exploration, the hazards of outer space, and there’s even a dash of time-travel thrown into the mix. If you’re a fan of practical effects, cool spacesuits, and at least one robot that looks like a mechanical Kit-Kat, you’ll get a kick out of this movie.

At the global box office, Interstellar pulled in roughly $700 million, not too shabby for an original film from an era where Marvel movies, remakes, and sequels were at the top of the charts. In addition to McConaughey, Interstellar also starred Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, John Lithgow, Michael Caine, Timothée Chalamet, Ellen Burstyn, Bill Irwin, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, and Casey Affleck.

If you’re looking to add a few more of Nolan’s movies to your Blu-ray collection, the majority of them are available in 4K formats.
