Hershey’s Is Teaming Up With Breyers for a First-of-Its-Kind Ice Cream—and We Tried It First

It’s a good thing my New Year’s resolution is not going to be to eat less ice cream because I would have caved on day one. Why would Jan. 1 have broken me so quickly, you ask? Because Breyers is releasing its 2025 lineup that day, and I already know I’ll be lining my freezer with one particular collection—if not all of them. 

Breyers has been known to host collaborations with many brands for its ice creams, including Snickers, M&M’s, and Reese’s. But, while Breyers has worked with Hershey’s in the past for its Reese’s Pieces, Reese’s Chocolate, and Heath Toffee flavors, it’s never teamed up with the chocolate brand itself. 

However, all that changes in 2025. Instead of releasing plain Hershey’s chocolate ice cream, Breyers and the chocolate brand are teaming up to bring another Hershey’s classic to life: s’mores.

The New Hershey’s and Breyers Campfire Collection

In the summertime, there’s nothing quite like a warm, gooey s’more made with Hershey’s chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. Now, you won’t have to wait until the warmer months to enjoy the campfire treat—in fact, you won’t need a campfire at all. Hershey’s and Breyers are introducing a Campfire Collection, including S’mores ice cream, S’mores Bars, and S’mores Sandwiches.

The headliner of the collection is the S’mores ice cream tubs and pints, which feature toasted marshmallow-flavored ice cream with graham cracker crumbs and Hershey’s chocolate swirls. The S’mores Bars are unlike anything you’ve seen before with toasted marshmallow ice cream encased in Hershey’s chocolate and dipped in graham cracker crumbs. Think of it as a s’mores-flavored Good Humor bar (which is also owned by Breyers’ parent company, Unilever).

Last, but certainly not least, is the S’mores Sandwich, which is the most similar to the original campfire treat. It features toasted marshmallow-flavored ice cream swirled with Hershey’s chocolate, sandwiched between two graham cracker wafers. 

Breyers’ entire Campfire Collection hits retailers nationwide on Jan. 1, but I tried the new S’mores Sandwiches early. Here’s my honest review.

My Honest Review

If you are a s’mores fan, you absolutely need to try Breyers’ new S’mores Sandwiches. It tastes exactly like a s’more—just in frozen form, of course. 

While the sandwich as a whole is great for the full s’mores experience, I was really fixated on the toasted marshmallow ice cream. The marshmallow flavor is there, but what really shocked me is that it actually tastes toasty. The ice cream has a deeper, almost caramelized flavor behind the sweet marshmallow taste. 

I can’t imagine this ice cream without the Hershey’s chocolate in it. There’s just something about the decadent, rich flavor of Hershey’s chocolate—or, in this case, more like Hershey’s chocolate syrup—that makes a s’more even more nostalgic. 

After trying the sandwich, I can’t wait to hunt down the S’mores bars and pints in the new year.
