Graza Frizzle High-Heat Olive Oil Cooking Spray Review

As a busy food editor, I’m always looking for ways to simplify my cooking routine. In my opinion, nothing can beat the convenience of a neutral cooking spray. Most options on grocery store shelves are made from refined oils and contain additives, so I’m always looking for healthier alternatives. When I learned that my favorite olive oil brand released a high-heat cooking oil made from 100% olives, I was immediately intrigued.

In addition to the fan-favorite duo Drizzle and Sizzle, Graza added a third oil, Frizzle, to its lineup. Frizzle is a combination of extra virgin olive oil and olive pomace oil (a paste made from the olive remnants leftover from the first press of oil). It’s made from the shelf-stable Picual olive varietal. With its high smoke point (up to 490°F), Frizzle is a neutral oil designed for frying, grilling, and other cooking methods that call for sizzling hot temperatures. It comes in a spray can and squeeze bottle, and I’m already using both on a daily basis.

My personal favorite format is the 5-ounce spray bottle, which comes in handy when I want to give my pans a quick coat of oil. The convenient nozzle releases an even spritz onto my skillet before I fry up eggs or onto my roasted potatoes before I throw them into the oven. It’s a great way to grease cake pans and muffin tins. I even use it to quickly season my cast iron cookware.

Longtime fans of the brand will be happy to learn that Frizzle also comes in the convenient format that Graza has become known for. Like Sizzle, the brand’s original medium-heat cooking oil, Frizzle comes in a 750-milliliter squeeze bottle, which makes it easy to drizzle and pour oil onto a hot pan.

The squeeze bottle is also useful for baking. The oil’s buttery flavor makes it an ideal substitute for butter in cookie dough or canola oil in a muffin batter, and the squeeze bottle makes it easy to control how much you pour into your measuring cup.
