Go Back to 1995 With These Glorious Retro Batman Forever Figures

Estimated read time 2 min read

When Batman Forever was released in 1995, I’d never been more excited for a movie in my life. I, like most people, was a huge fan of Tim Burton’s Batman and loved Batman Returns just a few years later too. So, when I heard the Caped Crusader was about to take on Two-Face and Riddler in the third film—played by Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones no less—I was bouncing off the walls. And that type of anticipation, at least for a 15-year-old in the 1990s, usually means buying toys from the movie.

Ultimately Batman Forever didn’t exactly deliver like the Burton films, but Joel Schumacher‘s acid trip was memorable nonetheless. And the toys from the film were a big part of it. The action figures were bright and cool while the new Batmobile was bold and distinguished. Now, all of those are coming back thanks to Spin Masters. Available exclusively at Target, there’s a new Batmobile set and action figures from the 1995 Bat sequel. Here are a few close-ups.

The Batman Forever Batmobile & Batman Collector’s Set costs $30 and is available at Target.com right now. Here are the individual figures.

The action figures cost $9 each and are available in-store, if you can find them. And, if you can, it might be worth firing up the Batman Forever soundtrack (another piece of the puzzle that made the film memorable) and either saving Gotham City with your kids or displaying them on a shelf for all to see.

Do you have memories of these toys? What about Batman Forever as a whole? Are you a Val Kilmer apologist? Or was Kilmer taking over for Michael Keaton sacrilegious? Let us know below.
