General Mills Is Bringing 9 New Cereals to Stores

Few things make it more fun to get up in the morning than a new cereal to look forward to, and this year gave us no shortage of cereal launches. We got not one, but two new versions of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, a rerelease of the beloved Fruity Cheerios alongside the release of Peach Mango Cheerios, and most recently, the brand new Oreo Puffs.

All of this is exciting news for true cereal lovers who can “eat a whole box” of the stuff any time of day, but just wait, it gets better. Over the next month and into the new year, you’ll have nine new cereals to anticipate from General Mills, including new versions of Cheerios and Chex.

General Mills’ New Cereals

General Mills, the brand behind cult-favorite cereals including Cheerios, Reese’s Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and even a mix of all of them together is debuting nine—yes you read that right, nine—new cereals this month and into the new year. Here are all the new flavor details so you can start planning your grocery list.

Cheerios Protein

Love Cheerios but wish they had more protein? Cheerios Protein has got you covered. The brand-new cereal has 8 grams of protein per serving—that’s 60 percent more than the original Cheerios. This one is already popping up on grocery store shelves and in two flavors: Cinnamon and Strawberry.

Cheerios Oat Crunch Chocolate

Cheerios didn’t stop there. It’s also debuting a new flavor of its Oat Crunch variety: Cheerios Oat Crunch Chocolate. The new flavor borders on dessert making it perfect for that late night snack.

Strawberry Vanilla Chex

Whether you love eating it straight up or using it to make your favorite snack mix—the new Strawberry Vanilla Chex is sure to be a hit. We are already making plans to use it in this sweet Chex mix for an extra punch of fruity flavor.

Bluey Cereal

General Mills might be well known for it’s staple brands like Cheerios and Chex, but the company has also been known to have great pop cultural releases (we’re looking at you, “Friends” Cereal). Now kids and cartoon-loving adults will can delight in Bluey cereal featuring blue-and-white lightly-sweetened corn cereal pieces inspired by the animated, pointy-eared dog friends.

Nature Valley Dipped Granola

More of a granola person? You’re in luck with several new options. Nature Valley Granola is debuting a new line of granola, Dipped, in two crave-worthy flavors. The Double Chocolate Dipped Granola features chocolatey oat clusters covered in even more chocolate, while the Salted Caramel Dipped Granola has oat clusters coated in a golden, buttery salted caramel. The heart whole grain granola is perfect for breakfast but sweet enough to enjoy with dessert sprinkled atop ice cream.

Family Size Cascadian Farm Granola
